April 2021 Charleston, SC Fishing Report
April 2, 2021.
The inshore fishing has stayed consistently red hot. With the fishing being red hot, the wind is blowing just as hard. March and April in Charleston, SC are very windy months but inshore fishing allows us to make short runs through open rough waters and tuck back in the creeks away from the wind.
We are getting a lot of calls for harbor fishing and trust me… I am ready to start fishing the big bulls as well! Unfortunately, with these cold fronts that have been coming in after a few days of hot weather is not helping the menhaden come in closer. Once the Menhaden come in, the Bull Red Drum and sharks will follow. We normally expect to be able to fish for them on a consistent basis around the second to third week of April. We like to offer our clients the opportunity to split their trip to two hours in the creeks and two hours in the harbor for Sharks and Red Drum.
If you are looking to get in on the action we are about to have, we strongly encourage you to book a trip soon! We are getting pretty booked and only fill 3 boats per day. This year is going to be a great year of fishing and we look forward to seeing y’all out there! Also, if you are looking to book a charter and have a larger party of 6+, please don’t forget to ask us about our multi-boat options! Book online or by phone!
